Privacy Policy
Chord & Voice Music Academy respects the privacy of families, students, website visitors, and lesson inquiries. This page explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how to contact us.

Legal context
This policy is intended to follow common Canadian privacy best practices for a small private music academy, including clear purpose, consent, limited collection, safeguards, and access to information. It is not legal advice and should be reviewed by a privacy professional or Ontario lawyer if legal advice is needed.

We collect only what is reasonably needed to respond to inquiries, schedule lessons, provide services, handle applications, and keep families informed.
Contact Forms and Lesson Requests
When you submit a contact, free lesson, partnership, or instructor form, we use the information to reply, recommend the right lesson option, confirm availability, and maintain a record of the inquiry.
Forms may also capture source information such as page path, referral source, campaign tags, or click identifiers so we can understand which marketing channels are working.
Cookies and Website Analytics
Our website may use cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies for site performance, analytics, advertising measurement, and basic user experience improvements.
These tools may collect:
- Pages visited and actions taken on the website
- Device, browser, and approximate location information
- Traffic source, campaign, and conversion-event information
- Anonymous or pseudonymous identifiers used by analytics tools
You can adjust browser cookie settings or use available consent controls on the website where provided.
Advertising and Analytics Tools
Chord & Voice may use tools such as Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta technologies, or similar services to measure website performance and ad results.
These providers may process data according to their own terms and privacy policies. Chord & Voice does not sell personal information to third parties.
Payment Information
Payment information may be processed through third-party payment providers, banks, or Interac e-Transfer. Chord & Voice does not intend to store full credit card numbers on its website.
We may keep payment records, invoices, receipts, and transaction notes for billing, bookkeeping, tax, and customer-service purposes.
How We Use Information
We use personal information to:
- Respond to inquiries and book free trial lessons
- Recommend piano, guitar, singing, or other lesson options
- Schedule, manage, and deliver lessons
- Send lesson updates, billing reminders, and service notices
- Review instructor, partnership, or general inquiries

Student and Children's Information
Because Chord & Voice teaches children, student information is usually provided by a parent or guardian. We ask families to share only information that is necessary for scheduling, safety, and the lesson experience.
We do not knowingly target behavioural advertising directly at children. Marketing is intended for parents, guardians, adults, or people old enough to contact us about lessons.
Photos, Videos, and Media Consent
Chord & Voice may ask for permission to capture or use lesson photos, videos, testimonials, or performance clips. Families can decline or withdraw media permission by contacting us in writing.
We will make reasonable efforts not to publish identifying media of a minor where a parent or guardian has opted out.
Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably needed for lesson service, inquiry follow-up, billing, tax, safety, operational, legal, or dispute-resolution purposes.
When information is no longer needed, we will delete, anonymize, or securely store it according to practical business needs.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. No website, email, text message, or internet transmission can be guaranteed fully secure.
Access, Correction, and Questions
You may contact us to ask what personal information we hold about you or your child, request a correction, withdraw optional promotional consent, or ask privacy questions.
